Information

The Pilgrim Project (TPP) recognizes that one of its obligations, as a community-based organization is to engage in public education regarding its field of care: hospice care.

As one of the ways it tries to discharge that obligation, TPP tries to offer three public lectures a year on topics which relate, one way or another, to the issues inherent in hospice care. Those may typically be in the areas of medicine, psychology, philosophy, spirituality or social service.

Since 1997 TPP has begun to present some written form of the public talks its sponsors. Since many of the speakers talk informally, it was decided to present the material of the lectures in note form. One of TPP volunteers takes notes of the talk and writes them up, and TPP has them duplicated. In the past they have been made available as handouts. But with the development of the Pilgrim Website, we have the option of making them available to a wider audience as a downloadable file.

In most of the cases TPP asks the speakers to read over the notes and make corrections. But these files have to be recognized as being notes and not the speaker's own composition.

Below are the five general areas in which we have found it convenient to categorize the lecture topics that pertain to hospice care. We have listed the lectures under the appropriate category. We invite you to click on one of the categories and view a list of downloadable files containing lectures listed there. We have chosen not to make WebPages out of these lectures in order to keep our Website small.
